Eric Django MacNamara
Eric is the protagonist of “Daywalkers.” He is a 24-year-old half-vampire (daywalker) who was adopted into a Romanian vampire hunting organization by Commander Michael Iovaneau. He is 5’11”, has fluffy brown hair, hazel eyes, and a jawline that can cut diamonds. His mother was a vampire hunter and his father was a notorious vampire. His favorite pastime is reading, perusing the internet, exercising, and punching his anger out. His weapon of choice are his late-mother’s daggers, which were handed down to him when he was a teenager. His weaknesses are pretty women and the inherent need to be a smartass. He has an identical twin brother named James.

James Danior MacNamara
James is the rowdier and more unapologetic twin brother of Eric. He is extremely close to Michael and is his First Lieutenant. Whereas Eric’s hair is fluffy, James wears his longer, has an eyebrow piercing, as well as a plethora of tattoos covering most of his skin. His favorite pastime is insulting his enemies, playing video games, ignoring his feelings, and going at the drums. His weapons of choice are a knife and his fists. His weaknesses are pastries and his love for his brother. He’s good at what he does, but hates most people.

Emilia
No last name because she belongs to nobody but herself, Emilia is a young, 72-year-old vampire. She is the deuteragonist of “Daywalkers,” and Eric MacNamara’s old flame. Emilia was born to Mexican immigrant parents and was raised in Los Angeles, California until she was turned following a traumatic event. She is 5’2” has raven black hair, coffee brown eyes, and tan skin. Emilia is a Leo, a lover of the arts and the finer things in life. Her favorite pastimes are manipulating dumb men, dancing, reading, going to museums, and drinking coffee. Her weapons of choice are her sharp nails and her teeth. Her weaknesses are silver and men that aren’t good for her. She has an overprotective older brother named Dante.
Dante
Dante is Emilia’s overprotective and possessive older brother and the antagonist in the story. Every character in “Daywalkers” is bisexual unless stated otherwise, and Dante is a raging homosexual. He is 5’10”, with tan skin, brown eyes, and messy black hair. Inspired by David from The Lost Boys, he’s a vampire that likes chaos, power, and looking good His favorite pastimes are partying, feeding, sleeping around, and going to the beach. His weapons of choice are his teeth and any random object. His weaknesses are his sister and good music. He wears a ruby encrusted rosary as a symbol of power.
Jean Beltremieux
Jean Beltremieux is a nearly 200-year-old vampire born and raised in Louisiana, U.S.A. He’s 6 feet tall with dark skin, and long locs. His parents were Hatian, and he once had three younger siblings - two sisters and a brother. He learned all about medicine from both of his parents and trained to be a doctor under them. He was turned after an attack that killed his father, and after his life turned upside down, he enlisted in the American Civil War as a medic, where he met his best friend, Wade MacNamara. His favorites pastimes are socializing, keeping secrets, and psychoanalyzing people. He’s not a fan of violence, but he will throw hands if he needs to and he will do it well. His weakness is his family, which includes Wade.
Jayashri Bhasin
Also known as “Jaya,” Jayashri is Emilia’s long time best friend that she met in the 70s. She comes from a South Asian background and entered an abusive marriage at a very young age. Years later, she met Emilia, who offered her the chance to to be free and get away from her life by becoming a vampire. Jaya is very shy and a certified people pleaser, but is slowly but surely trying her best to set boundaries and stand up for herself. Her favorite pastimes are doing her hair/makeup, sitting on the beach, and drinking tea. Her weapons of choice are her nails and teeth. Her weakness is her fear and anxiety.
Michael Iovaneau
AKA, Mihail Andrei Iovaneau (pronounced YO-VAH-NO). Also known as “The Silver Wolf of Romania,” Michael is the Commander for the vampire hunting organization and the adoptive father of Eric and James MacNamara. Inspired by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Michael is in his 50’s, 6’0 with silver hair, silver eyes, and a beard. He comes from a long line of vampire hunters and the twins’ mother, Anya Mezsarós, was his best friend growing up. His favorite pastimes are ordering people around, drinking dark liquor, and training. His weapons of choice are dual swords. His weaknesses are the only people he ever truly loved.
Wade MacNamara
Wade Elias MacNamara is a 180-year-old Irishman who immigrated to the U.S. when he was a teenager. He’s an orphan and a many of many losses, who decided to serve as a union soldier in the Civil War after facing a terrible tragedy. He’s somewhere between an extrovert and an introvert, and is incredibly loyal to those he loves. He’s known for having a quick temper, especially when he feels something is unjust, and will never hesitate to speak out or tell someone “how it is.” In the 1990s he fell in love with a hunter named Anya, with who he had two boys with (James and Eric). His favorite pastimes are flirting with beautiful women (his wife), boxing, and riding one of his many motorcycles. His weapons of choice are “whatever works,” because he knows MMA and he CAN take you down. His weakness is his family.
